I need a whole fic where the Cerritos is mistaken for the Enterprise by some type of alien with very high intelligence but very poor visual recognition, for whatever reason.

And Freeman either can't or is too scared to convince them that they're not the Enterprise, so she starts desperately assigning everyone to various roles. Boimler gets assigned as Data, and since he and Mariner are the only people on the ship who play string instruments, the captain orders them to put together some sort of "symphony" because the aliens have heard that that's a thing on the Enterprise.

And it's just Mariner and Boimler frustratedly trying to figure out how to combine her electric guitar skills and his traditional violin skills into something suitably "symphonic" (i.e. thematically trying to combine her more lax/modern way of doing things with his more strict/traditional way).

she stumbles from the woods, uneven footing as she balances between the foot that still clings to her heels and the foot that now goes bare. accentuated even more by a slight limp, bruises on her legs from where balance had been lost. bare foot covered in scratches, twigs littered in knotted blonde hair. pale skin stained with dirt and sweat, clearly not washed for a long while. dirt caked up beneath unkempt nails, hands cracked with a dryness entirely uncharacteristic of the beauty queen. tiny stature feels even more exaggerated with the way her height drops and rises as weight is shifted between bare foot and heel. she wears the same clothes she'd worn months ago when she'd been sent off, clothing entirely ill-fitted for outdoor survival. sequins have long fallen off, likely spread across miles, never to be found again. once white dress is now a mess of browns and yellows, sweat and dirt and sand seeping into the fabric. one sleeve shorter than the other, the fabric torn off to create a makeshift bandage on her leg. her escape was borderline impossible; she knows they'll be chasing her down. after all, there's nothing worse for that so-called school's reputation than to have lost a student in the middle of nowhere. not only for the fact that they'd lost her, but because of what she could tell people, what could get out if she's not persuaded into silence. she'd ran for hours, had walked even after she'd run out of stamina. it had been daytime when she'd first escaped, she hadn't stopped moving all night. it's morning now, sun rising over the trees to truly shine light on just how fucked up she looks. lips are dry, missing the signature gloss she so frequently adorns. a breath of air escapes her as eyes land on another person, fear turning to relief as she realizes it's not one of the people chasing her. she assumes, perhaps foolishly, that it means she's safe. she drops to her knees, unbothered by the gravel that her knees smash into.

INTRODUCTION PT. 1

Welcome..! to the beginning of a long road of info dumping and explanations

How about we start off with the setting why don’t we ?

It all takes place on the island continent of Stelrial. The two biggest cities are directly opposite of each other in almost every way.

Starhelm has the best magic academy in the world, people come from all over to try and make it at the prestigious school. The city is slowly expanding due to overpopulation issues. It is outwardly a shining beautiful city of dreams.

Opal Ridge is a place people go to when they have nothing left. The city is falling apart at the seams with little control over its people. Drugs and gangs openly run rampant and as big as it is has a third of the population Starhelm does.

There are some smaller towns amidst the farmland in the center of the island including Kirkmire, Lindbridge, and Suncona. The cliff town of Dedpeak freezes with the winds from the ocean.

Keelmar and Strafwell are the coast towns with Keelmar being the biggest port in the surrounding countries.

Finally Hartmiota is a tourist town known for being a beloved vacation island off the coast of Stelrial.

Map Key:

having the stupidest possible problem with my ergonomic mouse where i keep hurting my hand/wrist because i've developed a stim of picking my mouse up and putting it down again every time i go to use it. and believe it or not, you are not meant to pick up your mouse with the same hand position that you use it. that, actually, is quite tiring for your hand muscles. they're not usually responsible for picking stuff up.

The picture in question had been one that Rick thought he threw out or lost. It was hard to say given that keepsakes were rare and how it came from a particular time in his life where he was going through a lot more shit than to the previous years before it; an end to those golden days.

Walking over behind her, keeping a distance, he studied the picture a little bit more. That day played so vividly in his mind. It was hard to not forget how he felt.

Clearing his throat, he answered. "Uh, y-yeah, back when I was in a band and traveled the dimensions in shit,"

What he wouldn't comment on was the fact that in the picture, he was in a battle suit. Obviously by him. An black one with orange accents. His helmet off his head with three other galactic beings next to him. His best buddies at the time: GearDude, Squanchy, and Bird Person. All posing in front of a large ship of some kind.

Then his tone shifted. "Wh-Why the fuck are you looking through my stuff anyway? I said don't touch my shit."
